I did it!!! :excited: Today is the final day of my Project 27 (no worries, I'm going to keep it up though, just under the traditional 365 title)

Today is the 365th consecutive day that I have taken a (mostly) artistic self portrait, with the intent of learning better photography techniques, as well as completing a very personal journey to chronicle my life. I have learned so much this year, about both photography and life. And I still have quite a lot more learning to do, about both... I decided that for this last day of my Project 27 I would literally show my whole year, I got every one of my photos printed out from the past year (366, because Jan. 23 got three, and I clearly couldn't print out tonight's as it hadn't been created yet =P) and utilize those somehow in my shot. I considered using the same set up as the first day I started this project, but decided that wasn't enough, and besides I already re-did that angle. So instead I set up my backdrop on a whole big wall (instead of in the little hallway it is usually hanging in) and laid out my photos in roughly a chronological collage. That in itself took me nearly 2 hours, not including the time it took to order the photos (which I did during some down time at work)

Then it was time to get dressed, and I chose my chiffon curtains and a pose I've used before wearing the same in a photoshoot with :iconphoenixtear:, as he was the inspiration for this whole project. It took me quite a while to decide what to wear, I'm such a girl like that I guess :lmao: but I really wanted something that was timeless, yet fashionable (read: generally naked is the only fashion considered timeless) but I didn't want to go full nude, because that's not what this project is about. The curtain just seemed to fit though, and besides, I adore chiffon and red always looks nice =)

I had to do a little photoshop surgery to the sides, my backdrop wasn't quite wide enough for so many photos and the angle I wanted and everything else, so after I filled in the edges I darkened the whole black outline on the top, it looks a little unnatural, but I don't think it's terribly distracting. Aside from that, I just had to minimally correct the white balance, omg raw is super nice for that though, yay for me figuring out my camera after having it for 11 months =P

Many congrats. This is a great achievement artistically, and hopefully otherwise. It's been enormously inspiring to me. Glad to hear you'll keep it up, but take time to bask in the glow of finishing so strongly. Great work all around.
