Artist's Comments Ok, I'm really not conceited/vain at all... But I think everyone is allowed to be a little self important on their birthday (provided they aren't every other day, of course  ) So while I was driving through Meridian today and saw this old sign, I just had to stop! I've seen it so many times and thought what an awesome sign it was, old neon signs are just so cool to me (though this one no longer works, clearly..) I've seen it so many times when I've passed through and wanted to stop, but today I figured I would, I wasn't in any hurry to get where I was going and I had to stop and pee anyway  I intentionally set the exposure one stop higher, I wanted the sky to be kinda blown out, of course I wound up toning down the exposure a little in post but with this way I eliminated the clouds at least.  Overall though I had a great day, just relaxing mostly (I find long drives very relaxing... if there's no traffic hehe) Thanks to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday! Comments So true . . .

It is an awesome sign and i like your commanding posture. So do you feel that much wiser and older on your birthday or do you still feel like the same big kid..lol? I totally love all those old roadside signs. I'd love to have seen 66 in its glory days!

Critiques
Something I noticed after looking at it for a bit, is that the angle of your body as well as your pose in a way mimics that blue background of the sign. Even the white background which surrounds the words, "RED HOT", seem to match your upper-torso. If this was not intentional, it still worked out really well.
Judging from where the sun is in this shot, it's pretty clear the sun is in your eyes, but you still maintain a facial expression which evokes a feeling of confidence. Everything about your look and posture speak to me. It is as if you are saying:
"Why yes, I am red hot, thank you for noticing."
The only thing I would change is the black border surrounding this photograph, as it very noticeable and feels unnecessary.
